The rushcart ceremony (derived from Rogationtide) is an English tradition where parishioners process around their parish once a year, bearing rushes. They would end up at the parish church and place the rushes on the floor of the church, to replace worn-out rushes. In modern times the ceremony is practised only in parts of northern England including Lancashire and Cumbria. Tips composition is derived from the Saddleworth rushcart festival. The legacy of it all is that it brought together the community in preserving and support it continuity
Everywhere I go, I do get my self lost in the environment trying to find an expressive notion to relate my emotions at that point in time as I was at the sea side I visualise our life as a visitor. A quote from the aboriginal proverb- "We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... And then we return home" -Aboriginal Proverb by migrants in their search for better life through their journey on d sea. All protocol observed on my arrival and my welcome was pleasantly addressed. This is a series I would be working on to portrait my feelings for many that we've lost on the sea migrating in search for greener pastures & security. I was on the location to chill out preparing for a great outdoor painting the next day. Thought about life on d sea how risk people have endanger themselves however, if they finally arrived, how would their welcome be... As inspiration develops, series of photos were taking a
A self portrait of the artist and his daughter. The bond, the affection, the responsibility and the future. The lyrics of Earth Song by Micheal Jackson clouds my mind and inspired me through the process of the painting which I deem as a retrospective thought for everyone, the family, the home, the nation and the world.
PORTRAIT PAINTING OF THE WOMAN IN OUR LIFE. NOT JUST PAINTING BUT THE CHARACTER BEHIND EVERY WOMAN
Cambridge Circus- where thoughts meet is a compositional scenery I refer to as “fundamental equilibrium” depicting the artist's uncertain thoughtful journey about reconnecting his art and life with everyday happenstance (the nature of hustling to belong). This connection is between his original place of birth and his immediate environment (United Kingdom). On my daily commute to work, sitting on the top of London bus approaching Cambridge Circus junction, I often get stuck in traffic jam. Waiting patiently at the top of the London bus observing every fleeting moment. Psychologically, like am in a trance, I often get submerged in thoughts as it raves in my inner self. It’s often a recall for a subtle moment, a time to reflect and think on how to reconnect and connect my passion in life with the present happenstance. This thoughtful connection flows within as I make my journey through the traffic jam at Cambridge Circus London. The inspiration from the piece is about the fleeting moment
Figurative concept derived from my original place of birth. As a tribute to parental advice and up bringing towards my development as a growing up child in all ramification of life
Bird view of a figurative food seller feeding the creative minds at universal studio of art Lagos As a walkabout artist in quest for everyday fleeting happenstance. The concept and composition is drawn from a social encounter within a community of artists. The story behind sustainability is a retrospective reflection of an era (OFN 1976) in Nigeria. The scenery is a spot where creative minds converge to sustain and revitalise there creative prowess. My art in the making go through stages from my emotion, meditation, concept, composition to process of execution as my technique is been define with the use of palette knife predominately from starting to the end. Conceptually, there is continuity in the stories behind my body of work which centers on everyday happenstance resonating awareness and rediscovery of the past from the presence.
Watercolour painting. A place where demand and supply meet

It represent an individual response to human wants and desires when life's endeavors and happenstances are placed on restriction during the covid19 pandemic era. Intent is a subconscious thought that depict mental and emotional discharge in a time of deliberate confinement. We all wish to be free however, life is dynamic and its ever changing essence requires a deep thought out of the self to comport ourselves.
